EGYPTIAN KABBALAH |

If hieroglyphs have gematric values - meaning that Egyptian hieroglyphs were also numbers, like in case of Hebrew and many other ancient alphabets, where every letter has also a corresponding value - and if we knew them, we would have one of the most important keys that unlock the secrets of Egyptian magick. But there is no record known that this was the fact, however this should not be a supposition that should stop the research of the possible values of Egyptian gematria. Languages that were under the influence of Egyptian gnosis, like Hebrew or Greek, all know the corresponding values of the letters, and if we compare the traces of Egyptian language in Hebrew it would be much improbable that they invented this inter-changebility between letters and numbers. Many Egyptian references are traced in Hebrew kabbalah, and there is a slight possibility that some or majority of the values of hieroglyphs remained concealed in the values of Hebrew alefbeth. This is not improbable, since many scholars emphasize on a heavy influence of Egyptian gnosis on Jewish rites, and religion as a whole. Moses was an Egyptian high-priest, and together with his brother Aaron an initiate into most sacred Egyptian mysteries. Even though the influence on Hebrews is traced from many sources, Sumerian, Phoenician, etc, the main inspiration for the constitution comes from Moses' deep knowledge of Egyptian mysteries. But we have to understand that Hebrews freed themselves from Egyptian over-rule, therefore a reference to the source of gnosis became (deliberately?) obscured in time.
The first place to search for the gematric meaning encoded into the dimensions are the most important specifics of the pyramid, the base and the height. The main dimensions of the Great Pyramid are 440 royal cubits for the base, and 280 royal cubits for the height of the pyramid. If this was a Semitic monument, the two main measures would be transcribed as:
280 = PhR (R = 200, Ph = 80)
440 = MTh or ThM (Th = 400, M = 40)
There are two possible combinations of Egyptian words concealed in this transcription: Per-Met and Per-Tem.

Definition of mt - Faulkner Concise Dictionary |

 |
440 is equivalent to Mem Thau which is in Hebrew MTh, Death, while 280 equals to the sum of the so called 'five letters of judgment'. These letters - Kaph, Mem, Nun, Phe, and Tzadee - have different form if they are at the end of the word, and different, final, gematric value.
28. Five kings (that is, the five letters MNTzPK, Me, Nun, Tzaddi, Pe, Kaph, which are the roots of the judgments), betake themselves into swift flight before four (the four letters of the Tetragrammaton which bear with them the influx of benignity. They cannot remain (since the judgments and rigours cease and flee).
[The letters of the Hebrew alphabet are divided into three classes, the three mothers as they are called, AMSh; the seven duplex letters, BGDKPRTh, so called because they are sometimes tenues and sometimes aspirates, according to whether they are written with or without the Daghesh point; and the twelve simple letters, HVZChTILNSOTzQ. They are also divided into the three categories of Chesed, Din, and Rachmim, or mercy, judgment, and mildness. Now these five letters MNTzPK denote the severest judgments, and their number = 280 = PR = the name of the angel Sandalphon, SNDLPVN, the angel IOR, or of the wood of the world of Asiah, since the greatest part of it are sterile trees.] - THE KABBALAH UNVEILED - Siphra Dtzenioutha, translated by S. L. MacGregor Mathers
Both meanings - Death & Judgment - are strongly reminiscent of the Book of Dead, where the deceased is judged in the Hall of Judgment. The Book of Dead was in fact called Coming Forth by Day or prt-m-hrw by the ancient Egyptians. PrtA phonetic pronounciation of the first four hieroglyphs suggests Per-Tem, the House of Tem, while hrw stands for Horus.
Per-Tem
Another possibility for the gematric value of 440 is Tem (notarikon of 'met').

Tem is also a variant of the name Atem (later Aton), the creator of the Heliopolis Ennead. Per-Tem would thus denote the House of Atem. According to a variant of the Heliopolis cosmogony, Atem began creation when masturbating he gave birth to Shu and Tefnut. SInce the Egyptian hieroglyph for phallus is also denominating number 10, the name House of Phallus may also be interpreted as the House of Ten, which represents the nine gods of Heliopolis together with son of Isis and Osiris, Horus.
Before the beginning there were the primeval waters of nothingness called Nu. In the beginning Atem rose from the waters of Nun in the form of the Primeval Mound. He is self begotten creator of two children Shu (Air) and Tefnut (Water), created from the copulation of Shu with his hand (according to some versions from spittle, or boold). They also had two children Nut and Geb that were in constant interplay. They were separated by Shu, and Nut is ussualy dravn arched over the body of Seb and between them stands Shu. together representing Earth and Sky, and Air between them. SInce they were separated they were unable to give birth to children, until Thoth fights 5 epagomenal days on which Nut gave birth to Osiris, Isis, Set, Nephthys.
