Conrad Celtes (1459-1508)
the leading German humanist of the time, a friend of Pirkheimer. He found the earliest and most complete text of Hrotsvit's work (a copy from late 10th-to-early-11th-century) in the monastery of St. Emmeram in Regensburg in 1494 and published it in 1501
in Nuremberg.
