Order of Golden Fleece
The chivalric Order of the Golden Fleece was established by Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy in 1430. With the marriage of Emperior Maximilian I (of Austria) to Mary, daughter of Charles the Bold, last Duke of Burgundy, the Grand Mastership passed to the House of Habsburg.
