ORION continued

by David Bowman

Robert Bouval and Graham Hancock suggested that three pyramids of the Giza Plateau represent three stars from the well known Orion belt. Geometric properties of a pyramid confirm a possible association of Giza plateau with celestial Orion. If we unfold the pyramid's surface as illustrated - marking the crossing of the lines and corners with dots - we find an abstract image of the constellation of Orion accompanied with the sacred star of Egypt, Sirius.

Orion as the Tree of Life

ORION continued
Tree of Life as published by Athanasius Kircher
This planar figure of an unfolded pyramid's surface also resemble the kabbalistic representation of the Universe called the Tree of Life or Sephiroth, meaning 'numbers' in Hebrew. The last, tenth sphere Malkuth is considered by the qabalists as 'a pendant' to the Tree of Life, suggesting an association to Orion and 'pendant' Sirius. The constellation of Orion consists of nine bright 'spots', which together with nearby Sirius equal the 'Ten Spheres' of the Tree of Life. The center of the Tree of Life is the sixth sphere called Tiphareth, Beauty and it co-relates with Sun, and in mythic context with all 'dying gods', especially Osiris, whom Egyptians saw in Orion.
