Durer's business in Nuremberg was successful, but he wanted to explore the fundamentals of his art, to learn to know its origins and those things which powered its growth, to gather and extend knowledge. So he decided to go to Italy apart from that was not a tradition among northern artists. In October 1994, he began his first trip to Venice and probably to some other places such as Padua, Mantua and Cremona.
