Julius Goltzius was son of Hubertus Goltzius, a dutch engraver and printer worked in Bruges from 1558 to 1576. In 1577 Julius was already working for Christophe Plantin in Antwerp. He engraved fifty-three works, mostly after designs by his contemporaries.
