Central panel: Lamentation
Left wing: Saint Adrian with the Donor
Right wing: Saint Barbara
Left wing reverse: Saint Wilgefortis of Uncumber (with crown, beard and cross)
Right wing reverse: Saint Mary of Egypt (naked with three loaves)

Saint Wilgefortis was the daughter of the king of Portugal, who wished to remain a virgin and not to married to a heathen prince. In response to her prayers, she was given a beard to put of her suitor, with the result that her father subsequently had her crucified. Saint Mary of Egypt was a reformed prostitute who spent the reminder of her life in the wilderness, with just three loaves to sustain her.
The donor was identified as Adriaan Reins, brother of Saint John's Hospital, on the basis of initials AR and the figure of Saint Adrian who stands behind him in the left wing.
