PER-MET |

The usual interpretation of the word pyramid is 'the division of ten', allegedly coming from Coptic pyr, division, and met, a hieroglyph denoting number ten, but it is possible that pyr comes from Egyptian per, house. Hieroglyph per represents 'a house', and is widely used in various connections with different 'houses of gods'. Examples from Budge's Dictionary: Per-aa (palace, Pharaoh, Heb. PhROH), Per-nefer (the chamber in a temple in which the ceremonies of the resurrection of Osiris were performed), Per-hatu ('house of hearts', the Judgment hall of Osiris), Per-hu (the temple of the Sphinx), per-ankh ('house of life', a name for the school or college of the temple), and many more. Obviously, the hieroglyph per signifies mundanely 'a house', and it also signifies a sacred place like 'a temple', or 'a sanctuary' depending on the context.
The analysis of King's Chamber revealed that it represents symbolically the Phallus of Osiris, suggesting that the other part of the word pyr-mid is met, which according to the dictionary, signifies phallus. This hieroglyph also signifies the number ten, and this correspondence has been preserved in Hebrew kabbalah, since the letter Yod has the gematric value 10, and esoterically it represents the phallus. Perhaps, even the Pythagorean Tetractys echoes this dogma, since it consists of ten dots arranged in the form of a triangle (pyramid). The upward triangle or a pyramid is a symbol of elemental fire (the downward is water), and Yod, in the context of the four classical elements, also represents fire.
... This is seen more clearly when number falls away a little from its emanating divinity and turns to the shape of created things. Now we may use a tetragon in place of the Tetractys; we put a point, as unity, in any one of its angles, and in place of the unity at the point of the roof, which now starts to occupy space, we erect the apex at the greatest possible height. Once done, four faces are raised on high, four triangles constructed on the four-sided base, reaching to the one point at the top. Here then is the pyramid which, according to the Pythagorean Timaeus of Locri is the form of fire. He writes in his book On the World Soul: "Because the pyramid has four bases, with equal angles, it is the form of fire, being very mobile, and very fine." - On the Art of the Kabbalah by Johann Reuchlin
The importance of the symbolism of the letter Yod related to Phallus, the creative principle, is also deeply rooted in masonic dogma:
Adam is the human Tetragram, which is summed up in the mysterious Yod of the Kabalah, image of the Kabalistic Phallus. Add to this Yod, the ternary name of Eve, and you form the name of Jehova, the Divine Tetragram, the transcendent Kabalistic and magical word. - Morals and Dogma by Albert Pike
Both recognized Egyptian words, per-met, would therefore stand for the expression the House of Phallus, which is confirming the analysis of the King's Chamber, where the Phallus of Osiris was found. Per-met is phonetically not very far from the Greek word 'pyramid', and if we consider that the Egyptian city Per-Tem is mentioned in Bible (Jdg 12:15) as Pir-athon, and that letters 't' and 'd' are often interchanged, we trace the possible origin of the Greek word Gk. Pyramid. Isis built many shrines throughout Egypt as the replacement for the missing Osiris' phallus that was lost in the river. So, the ultimate 'shrine' of Egypt could be the Shrine of Phallus - today better known as the Great Pyramid, a monument symbolically representing the tomb of Osiris, or more specificaly Osiris' phallus.
But, the Egyptian hieroglyph met is signifying both phallus and number ten, the House of Phallus is therefore, by analogy, also the House of Ten. If we look at the Amen-en-Apt rod we find that the first ten gods are the Ennead plus Horus, here considered as the earthly king - Pharaohs were considered as the incarnations of this most ancient god, traceable even in pre-dynastic times as a falcon drawn on pottery. Among other symbolism attached to the Great Pyramid, it was also a shrine of the Ennead accompanied by Horus, as the representation of Pharaoh.
Number 10 is encoded in the 'heart' of the pyramid, since the breadth of the King's Chamber is 10 royal cubits. Also the whole composition of the pyramid conceals a decade extended in three dimension. The sum of the base and two times the height of the pyramid, gives precisely 1,000 royal cubits, or a cube of ten. A circumference of the rectangle surrounding the form drawn on the illustration is 1,000 + 440 = 1,440 royal cubits. Number 144 is the key of the Heavenly Jerusalem described in John's Revelation. The city in the sky is cubical with a side of 12,000 furlongs, each of its 6 faces 144 million sq. furlongs.
KJV Rev 21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
KJV Rev 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred [and] forty [and] four cubits, [according to] the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
